LearnZIMS Self-Paced Training on ZIMS for Studbooks

Species360 provides a teaching version of ZIMS called “LearnZIMS”. This is used as an on-call training tool for our 1,000 members teaching themselves or their internal staff, it and it is also used by our Education Members for teaching records management skills.

LearnZIMS is intended to assist in skills-based-training with ZIMS in an on-call basis –whether it is a studbook keeper who wants to learn the new tool, or, for an institution who would like to teach Studbooks tools.

About LearnZIMS:

Any Species360 ZIMS member already has access to LearnZIMS through their institution membership, some may be already using it to explore features.
Data here is available to all users who have access to LearnZIMS.
No live studbooks are present in LearnZims – just a generic studbook that can be used to learn how ZIMS for Studbooks functions.

Functionality is not limited to Studbook functionality – this is a great tool for the regions and their users to access and explore the Husbandry, Medical, and other features available in ZIMS.

You can access LearnZIMS in the following way:

Access LearnZIMS via ZIMS Help :

Log into ‘Live ZIMS’ to get to the help menu selection screen.
Practice username/password for LearnZIMS provided via the help menu in Live ZIMS. See: ‘practice with LearnZIMS’ option.
Users must have access to Live ZIMS to access LearnZIMS. If the user is a non-ZIMS member, they should contact our support team.
