Expectations for publication of studbooks are changing due to ZIMS for Studbooks. A “studbook report” is obtained by exporting a results grid to Excel or PDF. This can be printed or emailed. Contact your Regional Association for any specific requirements or guidelines that they have for studbook publication.
For a current studbook (living animals), select View List under Living Animals in the studbook dashboard. For an historical studbook (all animals ever recorded in the studbook), select View List under All Animals in Studbook in the studbook dashboard.
You can adjust the order of the columns by sliding the column header to the right or the left.
You can customize what columns are displayed in the publication by selecting the down arrow to the right of any of the column headers and selecting Columns.
You can also select to sort the columns by ascending or descending order using the down arrow to the right of the column heading. In most cases you would probably want to sort the publication by ascending Studbook ID.
IMPORTANT! Make sure you check the “Show History” checkbox. You will see a plus sign to the left of the Studbook ID when this is checked.
Even though the record is not expanded in the view, the transaction history of the animals will display in the document when downloaded.
You can also use the expandable filter option at the top right of the results grid to create a publication using various filters.
Whether you download to Excel or PDF may be determined by your Regional Association.
