How to attach a Component to a Life Support.
When you are adding a new Component, if the Life Support has already been created you can attach it before selecting to Save the new Component. If you did not attach it during that process, you will need to attach it from the Life Support record.
Open the Life Support module and find the appropriate Life Support using the Life Support Search or selecting it from the Life Support Tree.
From the Connected Component List, select Actions > Attach Component:
1.Record the Component Name.
2.Use the magnifying glass lookup to find the Component if you need to.
3.You can add a new Component directly from this screen.
4.The Component Type will prefill once the Name is entered and is not editable.
5.The Connection Type is Permanent or Temporary.
6. The Connection Status Change Date is the date you attached the Component.
The Component will now be attached to the Life Support:
To disconnect a Component, highlight it > Actions > Disconnect Component:
Record the appropriate date:
The Component will disappear from the Connected Component List. To find it again to reconnect it, open the Show Search Form and check “Include Disconnected Enclosures”.
It will now display with a Status of Disconnected with 2 records in its View History:
Selecting View History will display the history of the attachments:
This component can be re-attached to the same Life Support using Actions > Attach Component or attached to an entirely different Life Support.
