When it comes to migrating your existing animal records into ZIMS, you have three options.

1. The most cost-effective route is typically to do it yourself — and you won't be going at it alone. We provide intensive, one-on-one support to get you set up quickly, including templates designed to streamline the process.
2. If you'd prefer to hand it off, we can connect you with a Trusted Registrar, a vetted professional you hire through us at approximately $1.50 USD per animal (based on roughly 3 minutes per record at $30/hour).
3. For institutions with very large collections, we also offer a Data Migration Template (DMT), though at around $10,000 it's generally only cost-effective if you're migrating more than 7,000 animal records. Whatever your collection size or comfort level, we can help you figure out which path makes the most sense for your institution.
