ADMINISTRATIVE RESONSIBILITIES IN BIOBANK
There are three entities involved in the administration of the Biobank functionality in ZIMS. These are Species360, the Institution involved and the Biobank.

Species360
- Create ZIMS Users from Biobank Staff added by the Biobank
- Assign these Users custom Roles
- Manage “Authorizing Institutions” list
The Institution
- Request Species360 to be listed as an “Authorizing Institution”, or request to opt out from this.
- Share samples with the Biobank
- Manage their Institution’s shared samples and review for accuracy
The Biobank
- Add and remove Staff
- Request Species360 to give Biobank Staff ZIMS access and assign them a ZIMS Role
- Add samples on behalf of an “Authorizing Institution”
- Request changes to the “Authorizing Institution” list from Species360
