You can now “talk” to ZIMS!
Important Notes:

• Voice Recognition is available only in Google Chrome browser
• This feature is not designed or maintained by Species360 – it is a service of Google, so we are unable to make changes, enhancements nor repairs to this tool
• You must have a working microphone on your computer to use this feature

To use voice recognition, select the microphone icon that displays on the screens that have this functionality:

 

 

The first time using Voice Recognition you will receive a message that zims.species360 wants to use your microphone. You will need to select “Allow”.

 

 

You will need to select your desired language. The flashing red microphone will let you know that you are in Voice Recognition mode.

Then just start talking! There is a slight delay from the time the text appears in the Listening box to when it appears in the text box.

 

You still need to read what ZIMS has typed to make sure that your voice was interpreted correctly. And you may need to add punctuation and capital letters.
